Springville IA

In 2020 Springville and a large area of Iowa was hit with a massive Derecho. This storm is essentially a land hurricane with thunderstorms and winds up to 120 miles per hour.

Crops were blown away, barns and homes were ripped to shreds, silos were collapsed and trees were scattered as far as the eye could see.

Work Filled Week

2 of our members made the trip despite the pandemic to help 4 farmers in need. They spent a week cleaning up and removing tree debris from on and around homes and barns. They also helped to cleanup a section of a barn that had been torn apart so that rebuilding could begin.
